The LBA (Leonard Baseball Academy) Legends first started back in 2016 when brothers Joe and Johnny Leonard saw a need for more instructional based baseball offerings in the area. The teams competed in tournaments and participated in weekly practices being taught the proper way to play the game of baseball. Backed by their professional baseball background, Joe and Johnny quickly grew the program and continued to give kids the travel baseball experience while always allowing kids to play for the in-house Rec Teams. ​

 

The Pittsburgh Legends was formed in 2024 as an outreach to the Washington and Allegheny Counties, closer to where Johnny resides now. The program expanded quickly to 8 teams in 2025 and strives on taking the time to ensure each kid receives the attention they need to devleop both on and off the field!
